See a contact's verification result in your CRM

Where DialClear writes the contact verification result on a contact, and what each field means.

Before you start

  • DialClear installed in your CRM

Tip

Filter a smart list on DialClear | Trust Band to call your best matches first.

When DialClear verifies a contact, it writes the result onto the contact itself. You can read it on the contact, filter a smart list by it, or use it in a workflow, without opening DialClear.

Find the fields

Step 1. Open the contact

Open the contact in your CRM and go to its custom fields.

Step 2. Search for DialClear

Search the contact's custom fields for DialClear |. Every field DialClear writes starts with it. These six hold the verification result. The phone screening and address fields are listed in Managing DialClear fields in your CRM.

Field What it holds
DialClear | Trust Score A number from 0 to 100. Higher means the name more likely belongs to the number.
DialClear | Trust Band high from 75 up, medium from 45 to 74, low below 45.
DialClear | Line Type The kind of line, for example mobile, landline or nonFixedVoip.
DialClear | Carrier The carrier the number is with.
DialClear | Line Status Whether the line is in service. See below.
DialClear | Last Verified When DialClear last verified this contact, in UTC, for example 2026-10-03 15:42 UTC.

The letter grade you see on Lookups comes from the same score. Reading a lookup result has the full table and explains what moves the score.

What Line Status means

Value Meaning
active The line is in service and can be reached.
reachable The line is in service and the carrier can reach it.
unreachable The line is in service, but the phone is off or out of coverage right now.
inactive The line is disconnected.
unknown The carrier did not give an answer.

An inactive line lowers the Trust Score, because the name on a disconnected line usually describes the previous owner. The other values do not change the score.

When the fields update

The fields are filled in each time DialClear verifies the contact. That happens automatically when contact verification is on in Automatic scrubbing on Settings, or when you tag the contact with dc-trust or dialclear.

Writing the fields does not start another verification and is not charged. Automatic verification runs again only when the contact's phone number, first name or last name changes.

If the fields are missing

DialClear creates its fields in your CRM when it needs them. If you removed them, they are created again the next time a contact is verified. The CRM custom fields card on Settings shows how many are present and can add any that are missing. Managing DialClear fields in your CRM covers that card.

Troubleshooting

The fields are empty on a contact

The contact may not have been verified yet. Contact verification needs a phone number and a name, so add both, or tag the contact with dc-trust.

Automatic verification may be off. Turn on Contact verification in Automatic scrubbing on Settings.

The CRM wallet may be empty. Add funds in your CRM, then tag the contact with dc-trust.

The score looks low for someone I know is real

Check Line Status and Line Type first. A disconnected line or an internet phone number lowers the score even when the name matches. Running the premium carrier identity match gives the most reliable answer.
